5 Places I’m Not Afraid To Take My Toddlers To Eat Near Traverse City
Sometimes you just need burgers and fries.
Glendale Burger Shop is a casual spot near Greilickville Harbor Park, so you can grab a meal and then head over to the park to let the kids run around. My kids also love the vintage arcade game inside—and, of course, the suckers by the checkout.
Farm Club offers farm-to-table food in a casual, family-friendly setting, and it’s one of those places where I don’t mind bringing a busy toddler.
There’s plenty of room to roam while you wait for your food, with a large grassy area, flower garden + lots of outdoor space. They often have campfires in the fall, too.
The Little Fleet is a fun option when everyone wants something different. With multiple food trucks, there’s plenty of variety, and you can eat outside.
It’s also close to F&M Park, so you can easily make a bigger outing out of it.
Hop Lot is easily my favorite place to take my kids. It’s enjoyable for them—they absolutely love the dig pit—and enjoyable for us, too.
There’s live music, bonfires, s’mores kits, yard games, and usually a ball game playing in the tent. There’s always something going on, but it still feels relaxed enough to let the kids run around and be kids.
It was voted the 2nd best beer garden in America, but it’s #1 in my heart.
Pizza, drinks, live music, a corn pit + a playground? This is an easy yes with toddlers.
There’s plenty of space for kids to play + roam before or after you eat, which makes it much easier to actually enjoy your food.
