Mitchell Creek Meadows Trail

Mitchell Creek Meadows at The Don & Jerry Olson Nature Preserve has a 0.9-mile flat, crushed-gravel trail with boardwalks, making it a great option for strollers and little legs.

This one was recommended to me by a Third Coast Kids follower, and I’m so glad they sent me here.

It’s a low-commitment trail for moms with babies and littles. If someone has a meltdown, gets tired, or you just decide you’re done, the parking lot is never too far away. Don’t ask how I know. 😅

There’s also a Conservation Center with public restrooms, which is always a win when you’re exploring with littles.

And then there are the goats! Working goats move around the property helping clear invasive species. If you’re lucky enough to be there when the caretaker is feeding them, your kiddos might even get to offer them a graham cracker.

Good to Know

  • Open dawn to dusk

  • Stroller-friendly

  • Public restrooms in the Conservation Center

  • Don’t miss the working goats!
