Lyon Farm & Vineyards

I had the chance to visit Lyon Farm & Vineyards at the end of cherry season for a farm tour, and I loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at this fifth-generation family farm.

The Lyon family grows apples, peaches, and cherries, raises chickens and pigs, and is raising their own family right here on the farm. There’s something really special about seeing a working family farm that’s been part of Old Mission Peninsula for generations.

Julianne also runs the farm stand just off Island View Road, where you’ll find fresh produce from the farm along with some delicious baked goods. Think homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, fruit crisps, and whatever produce is in season.

The farm stand is also a really easy stop to pair with a visit to the Peninsula Community Library. There’s a picnic table right next to the stand with beautiful views of West Bay, so grab a treat and make a little picnic out of it.

Good to know:

  • Fresh produce is available at the farm stand 24/7

  • Baked goods are available Thursday–Saturday starting at 8 AM

  • Seasonal produce varies throughout the year

If you’re exploring Old Mission Peninsula with kids, add this one to your list.
