Pyramid Point Trail

Pyramid Point is a great option for a short hike with kids in Sleeping Bear Dunes. The trail to the lookout is about 1.2 miles round trip and relatively easy, with a beautiful view at the end.

We did this hike with my 3-year-old and almost-2-year-old. My 3-year-old walked the whole way there and back, while my younger one rode in the carrier on the way up and walked the whole way back.

Good to Know

  • Vault toilets are available at the trailhead

  • Bring a carrier for little ones— strollers are not recommended

  • The lookout has beautiful views, but there are drop-offs, so keep little ones close

  • The trail winds through the trees and would be especially beautiful in the fall

  • National Park Pass Required
