Where to Pick & Buy Pumpkins near Traverse City
Pumpkin season is here, and there are plenty of places around Traverse City to find your perfect pumpkins. From farms where you can make a whole fall outing of it to markets where you can quickly grab a few to take home, here are some of our favorite local spots.
Pahl’s Pumpkin Patch | Buckley
Pahl’s is a classic pumpkin patch in Buckley, about 30 minutes from Traverse City, and a fun option if you want to make an afternoon of pumpkin picking.
Admission is $8/person and includes two corn mazes, slides, farm animals, and a nature walk. Children 2 and under are FREE.
On weekends, they also offer pig races, barrel train rides ($4), tractor-pulled wagon rides ($4), and apple cannons for even more fall fun.
Open daily through October 31- 10AM- 6PM
If you’re looking for a place that offers both apple picking and pumpkin picking, King Orchards is the place. They also have a playground, bakery, and hard cider garden, making it easy to spend a few hours here with the kids.
