Gallagher’s Farm Market: What to Know Before You Go
Gallagher’s is my favorite farm market in Traverse City—and we go at least once a week!
They have a great selection of local produce, goods, and baked treats, plus a little barnyard in the back where kids can visit the goats, chickens, and pigs. Goat food is available for $1 in the market if your kids want to feed them.
There’s also a sand pit and ride-on toys, so it’s an easy place to grab a treat and let the kids play for a while in a gorgeous farm setting.
Don’t leave without: The pizza bread and $1 cinnamon sugar donuts are two of my favorites.
Good to know:
The barnyard is stroller-friendly, but the market area can be a little tight with a stroller.
Restrooms are located on the backside of the building.
Parking can be limited. If the main lot is full, additional parking is available if you continue past the market, barn, and house.
Gallagher’s opens at 8 AM, which makes it a great spot for early risers.
Seasonal u-pick activities are available throughout the year.
Third Coast Kids tip: If your kids are up early, this is an easy way to get everyone out of the house. Grab some donuts, visit the animals, let the kids play, and pick up a few things from the market on your way out.
